Geranium: You’ll find geranium essential oil in many skincare products because of the amazing benefits. It has a wonderful floral aroma, many skin enhancing properties and nutrients that hydrate dry skin while improving skin imperfections.

Lemon: The citric acid content of lemon essential oil exfoliates the skin and leaves behind a lighter brighter complexion. Lemon is the best choice if you’re looking for an amazing skin brightener.

Lavender: Lavender essential oil is a popular choice for mature skin because of its rejuvenating properties. Its versatility offers great care for sensitive skin or skin that’s inflamed. Lavender oil can reduce redness and is the essential oil of choice for sun sensitivity and combination skin types.

Bergamot: If you have skin discolorations or pigment issues Bergamot essential oil can help. Bergamot regulates the melanin in the skin to balance pigmentation and promote skin regeneration.

Rose: If you ask me, Rose essential oil is the best for your complexion and skin. It can be expensive but you won’t find a more luxurious product out there. A little goes a long way and it has a multitude of properties; soothing, restoring, firming, moisturizing and repairing. Rose can calm irritated skin and repair broken capillaries while keeping the skin free from harmful toxins. Rose has a wonderful scent and offers exceptional beauty and radiance.

Outside of lavender and tea tree essential oils, you should never apply directly to the skin. Essential oils should be diluted prior to applying topically. Any carrier oil will do but each does carry their own benefits. Some of my favorites for use on the skin are Avocado and Grape Seed oils.

Essential oils can also enhance your favorite beauty products by combining them. You’ll find that essential oils are more affordable and more effective when compared to OTC products. Involve essential oils in your daily skin care routine and you’ll be impressed by the skin you can have.
