Los Angeles Fashion Week Outfit Recap

My first ever fashion week was a huge success. I had a great time picking out outfits and watching how others represented their style at the Spring 2016 Los Angeles Fashion shows. I didn’t have any expectations on how to dress or what to wear. I mainly went with what I feel as always, except on the Saturday for the Metropolitan show when there was a dress code for a formal gown. This sent me into frenzy because I read that 30 minutes before it was time to leave (Oops). See below for outfit details. Here is a recap of what I wore to the first week of Los Angeles Fashion Week festivities.

I love this look, it gives me the ultimate 70's  glam. The dress is comfortable, but I did have to get it in a large because it was tight on my chest and arms in medium, which is my usual size in most dresses.

Day 2

This look was for the Betsey Johnson Installation. I wanted to channel my inner Betsey, and she always picks random fun pieces to wear. Her collections always feel like a party, and this outfit felt fun and party like.

Day 3

This look was last minute. I was going to wear something else but it didn't work out. I had this from another look I shoot, and thought gingham print is dope why not!

Day 4

I grabbed this outfit out my closet in a time crunch when the planned outfit did not work. This maxi has been in my closet for over a year just sitting there collecting dust. I often look at because the colors always catch my attention when I'm clawing through clothing, but I didn't have anywhere to wear it until today. I added a belt to cinch the waist, but it kept popping off, so not cinched waist:)

Day 5

Leopard Thift Dress
Leopard Thift Dress

I love this outfit. Mainly because the dress was $1 at the thrift shop. I have had the dress for a while. I thought it was slightly cheesy with it being all leopard print, but I love it! When I last minute had to have a long gown for the gala I thought, hmmm, this is different and will be a great standout of the night. I was right, the look had plenty of compliments! By the way, I am obsessed with this BCBG Maxazria.
